Inauguration and Turn-Over of DPWH Projects

The Commission on Audit Regional Office IX (COA ROIX) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)- Zamboanga City District Engineering Office (DPWH ZC-DEO)   inaugurated and turned-over to Barangay Cabatangan the Drainage System and Waiting Shed projects on July 5, 2023.

Officer-in-Charge Marisol D. Legaspi and District Engineer (DE) Jul-arab A. Kong led the inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the project site at the frontage of the Regional Office building. The event was witnessed by officials of Barangay Cabatangan, led by Punong Barangay Hon. Allan E. Dagun, and several COA ROIX and ZC-DEO employees.  Director Legaspi emphasized that the project was initiated by her predecessor, Regional Director Visitacion Q. Mendoza.  She thanked key COA personalities who acted as conduit between COA and DPWH and DE Kong for acceding to COA’s request.  She also implored the Barangay’s assistance in maintaining cleanliness and peace and order in the area.  Honorable Dagun conveyed to COA and DPWH his heartfelt appreciation as it has always been the Barangay’s dream to have a waiting shed in the area.
