COA Region IX joins CIVIL SERVICE Anniversary Celebration

COA Region IX is one with the country in the commemoration of the 121st anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service as well as the celebration of the month of September as the Civil Service Month pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1050 series of 1997.

This year’s  theme, “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes’’,  stresses the intention to reflect the path the civil service has to take to build on the gains of last year’s modernization efforts in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic .

The event  kicked off with a virtual opening program held last September 10, 2021 spearheaded by  PHILGASEA Region IX Chapter President Atty. Kat Acana, which was followed by QuizVid: Brain Outbreak (Quiz Bee) where personnel showcased their wits and abilities to answer work-related questions as well as  assorted “trivia”, to showcase the wide range of  knowledge and know-how of COA 9 employees as civil servants.

To promote creativity  despite crisis, and to highlight singing talents, dramatic artistry and technical skills of the COA 9 workforce,  Pagaalay ng Mangagawa Music Video Contest and Digital Art Contest were also steered as part of the festivity.

To provide yuletide financial assistance to  desering beneficiaries: Security Personnel, Job Order Personnel and Low Salaried employees, Virtual Fund Raising activities  such as Binggo and Online Selling were successfully initiated and completed to support the cause.

To conclude the month-long celebration, 60 regional employees were bestowed with special awards for their excellence and exemplary performance as public servants in a virtual closing ceremony dubbed as “Recognition of Mangagawa” held last September 29, 2021 with 300 personnel in attendance.
